Particles occurring in a laser process

We analyze exhaust streams, emissions and immissions contaminated with nanoparticles or microparticles. Particulate streams from industrial processes we analyze on site either within the installation or in the installation periphery. Typical contaminations are generated during cutting, welding, additive manufacturing or in thermal processing.

Such toxic airstreams may contain:

  • Metal particles
  • Ceramic dust and fine particulates
  • Combustion residues, smoke
  • Soot particles
  • Aerosols

To assess size, size distribution and concentration, we offer analyses of nanoparticles via Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) technology. Larger particles are monitored using Aerosol spectrometers. The chemical analysis of process gases is based on spectroscopy and microscopy. A precise analysis of contaminants is the basis for the design of suitable filter modules in industrial process installations and indoor living areas.

Range of services:

  • Analyses of process gas streams
  • Analysis of atmospheric aerosols
  • Assessment of indoor air quality
  • Filter efficiency tests
  • Assessment of processes with respect to particulate formation
  • Combustion studies
  • Work site analyses
