Ultrasonic homogenizer

The use of the ultrasonic homogenizer allows for the introduction of high energy inputs to low viscosity media, a process which ensures optimum dispersion.

  • volumes: 20 ml - 900 ml
  • process frequency: 20 kHz
  • amplitudes: 10 % - 100 %
  • pulsation: 0,2 s - 600 s
  • tempering during the attempt is practicable when using a jacketed vessel
  • energy input is directly readable

Disperger Ultra-Turrax

The Ultra-Turrax unit is a rotor-stator disperser which produces large shear forces during its operation. Thus it is well suited for low to medium viscosity media to be homogenized, emulsified or suspended. With a jacketed vessel it is also possible to temper media during the operation.

  • instruments: S 18 N - 19 G, S 18 N - 10 G
  • rotational speed range: 6500 1/min - 24000 1/min
  • sample volume: 1 ml - 1500 ml

Planetary ball mill

This ball mill enables to mill a variety of materials including metals, metalloids and ceramics to submicron range. Applications are mixing processes, homogenizations and even mechanical alloying.

  • balls: steel, diameter: 5 mm; zirconia, diameter: 0,1 mm
  • rot. speed: 100 1/min - 650 1/min
  • interval time: 1 s - 100 h
  • break time: 1 s - 100 h
  • fineness: < 0,1 µm possible (depends on material)
  • sample vol.: approx. 20 ml for wet milling
  • atmospheres:  air, nitrogen, argon
  • rotation reversal
  • dry and wet milling possible
