Innovative filtering media can filter out hazardous gases for cabin air.

The US Environmental Protection Agency published that people approximately spend over 90% of their time indoors. They are at home, at work, at school or on the move in the car, bus, train or airplane.

Harmful gases and fine particles accumulate in the air, in offices, in cabins but also at workplaces. For example in industrial production (laser cutting, welding, additive manufacturing, battery production or recycling, etc.) invisible toxic particles (e.g. metal particles, nickel particles) are emitted as well as vapors (VOC, NOx, etc.) and odors. We need to develop innovative solutions to reduce these pollutants, also associated with viruses and bacteria or organic components. The Fraunhofer IWS-Workshop is focused on technical systems for detection, with smart sensor systems, monitoring the air quality and cleaning the air pollution with innovative filter materials. Experts will present new approaches and their results in relation to the emissions mentioned above.

During the workshop all participants can get in contact for discussion, but also for future collaboration.

This is why you are welcome to participate:

  • Current and relevant topic: indoor air quality
  • Scientific exchange between representatives from industry and business
  • Presentation and discussion of new approaches

Our online workshop addresses:

  • Manufacturers of chemical components for coating systems (paints, varnishes, fillers etc.)
  • Manufacturers of components and systems for gas filtration
  • Manufacturers of gas detectors and particle measurement technology
  • Interested parties from the field of occupational safety and environmental protection in various branches of industry (additive manufacturing, material refinement and coating, etc.)
  • Manufacturers of sorbents and adsorbents

We are looking forward to your participation.
