Die Fraunhofer-Allianz Batterien veranstaltet vom 23. bis 24. Oktober 2023 mit den Fraunhofer Batterietagen ein branchenspezifisches Vernetzungsevent zum Thema »Schnellladefähigkeit für die Elektromobilität« am Fraunhofer-Institutszentrum in Dresden.

With Fraunhofer Photonica, 20 young scientists have the opportunity to discover photonics research at leading photonics research institutes. Even before graduating their master’s studies, students can broaden their knowledge and perspective on photonics research and applications.

Fraunhofer IWS provides a dedicated platform and launches the Dry Coating Forum. DCF is a forum for material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, cell makers and end users to exchange information about current trends, developments and challenges in the field of dry coating technologies.

The five days workshop aims to bring together undergraduate and PhD students in an intensive study program on fundamental and applied aspects of laser technology. 

Lithium-sulfur batteries are envisaged to enable energy storage devices with high specific energy at low material cost. The recent research provides significant progress in terms of materials for active and passive cell components as well as on understanding of mechanisms finally leading to improved Li-S cell performance.

The LiM focuses on the latest developments and future trends in laser materials processing. The conference topics address everyone interested in the potential of lasers in manufacturing from theory to application. In addition to micro and macro processing, a focus is also on additive manufacturing. 

The LiM is organized by the German Scientific Society for Lasers and Photonics (WLT).

PULSATE ist ein neues paneuropäisches Netzwerk, das die Einführung fortschrittlicher laserbasierter Technologien ankurbeln und damit zur Stärkung von KMU beitragen soll.

Organized by the Fraunhofer Competence Field Additive Manufacturing, the DDMC is a bi-annual cutting-edge forum for discussion on Additive Manufacturing, including its application in industry and the environmental impact of such new manufacturing technologies. Impact on health, sustainability and society will also be discussed.

Microphysiological systems (MPS) are a high-performance tool for research and development in the field of tissue reconstruction, drug and cytotoxicity studies. Fraunhofer IWS has established a wide range of technical expertise in design, configuration, operation, monitoring and analysis of these systems and has developed its own technology platform for the setup of MPS.
