Carbon Materials for Electrodes

Workshop "Carbon Materials for Electrodes"

November 3, 2011, Fraunhofer IWS Dresden

Carbon based electrodes play a keyrole in energy storage and conversion systems. They find application in batteries, supercaps and fuel cells as well as in electrolysis and corrosion protection.

Diamond, graphite and carbon nanotube based electrodes offer fascinating properties ranging from higly conductive towards semi-conducting and isolating properties. The latter make them also attractive for electronic applications such as high-power electronics.

The workshop brings together experts from industry and research to present and discuss the most recent developments of new materials, processes and applications of carbon based electrodes.
