The basis for both applications are low-damage welding processes which are resource-saving due to their low energy input. Thus, it is possible to work with the beam sources with low power such as used in thin sheets applications even in the thick sheet area (up to 50 mm). The process is called laser multipass narrow gap welding (laser MES) and allows for a flawless scaling of the sheet thickness from 10 to 50 mm with the same welding parameters. The combination of integrated sensor technology and high process stability enables our customers to reliably meet the highest quality requirements.
