Thermoelectric Colloquium Saxony

Thermoelectric Colloquium Saxony

February 5, 2018, 16.00 - 18.00 Uhr, Fraunhofer IWS Dresden

The research institutes Leibniz IFW, Max-Planck CPFS and the Fraunhofer IKTS, IFAM und IWS, all located in Dresden, want to reinforce the cooperation in the topic of thermoelectrics in Saxony. One action is going to be a thermoelectric-colloquium, which takes place approximately once each two months. Every time an external speaker will be invited for an extensive talk.

Program

The first speaker will be André Gall, production developer at the OTEGO GmbH, who is going to talk about printed, polymer thermoelectrics. OTEGO aims on the “automation of production of printed thermoelectric generators” and is named as one of the global “key technology stakeholders” in a market analysis by Frost&Sullivan from 2017.

André Gall will briefly present the company OTEGO and give an introductive overview on organic thermoelectric, the most important new developments, which have been presented at the ICOT2018 in this area, but also stress the challenges when trying to transfer research results into industrial application. In the end of the presentation he will outline necessary research.

The talk is followed by an discussion. IWS offers coffee.
