- heating source: 4 kW high power laser DY044 (wavelength 1.06 µm)
- temperature measurement: with fast pyrometer or thermographic camera
- sample holder: selectable with water or cryogenic cooling
- test chamber with protective gas environment
- achievable heating speeds of > 1000 K/s (on sample surface)
Applications
- performing onetime thermal shock test to determine material data (thermal shock parameters, thermal shock resistance)
- performing cyclic heating tests (thermal cycling) to determine damage limits
- performing lifetime studies under defined cyclic thermal loads
- investigating bulk materials or surface coatings
- tests on material samples or entire parts
