Today’s tools for the forming of bulk and sheet materials are typically hard coated to minimize wear and sticking. Diamor® offers for both issues tremendous advantages and in particular for aluminum with a high sticking tendency. The nonstick performance of Diamor® sometimes even allows to avoid the need for lubricants without causing any sticking of the formed material to the tool.

The following applications are examples for the excellent performance of Diamor® coated forming tools:

  • forming rolls for tubing fabrication from Al and Cu sheet metal
  • clinch stamps for joining Al sheets
  • radial riveting of pressure cast Al parts
